Protesters made sure there was no way in or out at the Thompson Center Loop Tuesday in an attempt to get across their message about disabilities.
CBS 2’s Joanie Lum reports the demonstration was a major inconvenience for people trying to do business with the state.
“We’re adapt, you’re trapped, get used to it,” the protesters from the advocacy group ADAPT shouted.
More than 500 wheelchair protestors blocked elevators, escalators and doorways, trapping state employees in their upper floor offices and locking out people who wanted in.
They assembled just before the lunch hour, eliminating business for food court restaurants.
